Boston Welcomes Pro-Hamas Hate with Dexter Van Zile

Description

Speaking to an audience of African Americans and immigrants at a fundraising gala in Boston, a prominent local imam and city councilor recently portrayed Jews as bringing the October 7 massacre upon themselves. The Middle East Forum’s Dexter Van Zile was on the scene. He will analyze the occasion and address two questions: How popular is this narrative in the United States, and what can be done to counter it?

Dexter Van Zile, MEF's Violin Family Research Fellow, is the editor of Focus on Western Islamism (FWI). He previously worked at the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA), where he dealt primarily with Christian journalism. Van Zile’s writings have appeared in many publications, including the Boston Globe and Jerusalem Post. Mr. Van Zile holds a BA from the University of Puget Sound and an MA from Western Washington University.
