MEF Event Library
How Events Are Counted
Sources
- Video list, titles, descriptions, dates and durations: the YouTube Data API (videos and playlist items) for the Middle East Forum YouTube channel.
- Transcripts: the caption tracks YouTube serves for each video. Tracks uploaded by MEF are labelled "Captions uploaded by MEF"; tracks YouTube generates by speech recognition are labelled "Automatic captions". Automatic captions can misspell names and terms; check the video before quoting.
- Speaker profiles: MEF Experts.
Coverage
The library includes public videos on the Middle East Forum channel that run 4 minutes or longer, published September 20, 2017 to October 12, 2026: 875 videos, 36 with transcripts (35 from automatic captions). Short clips run on other MEF channels. Transcripts are added in date order, newest first, with each daily update.
