How to Develop a Robust EU Policy toward Iran with Charlie Weimers

Europe has long remained complacent in the face of the ever-growing threat from the Islamic Republic of Iran, the leading state proponent of Islamism and the largest sponsor of terrorism. The European Union needs a new strategy, one that breaks with over forty years of appeasement and misunderstanding. What are the bases for a new EU policy? What must change for it to be implemented? Charlie Weimers, a Swedish politician, since 2019 represents the Sweden Democrats party, a civilizationist organization, as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). He previously served on the Hammarö Municipal Council and as chief of staff to MEP Lars Adaktusson. He specializes in problems associated with religious persecution. In 2022, Tehran thanked him for his efforts by personally sanctioning him. He holds a BA in political Science from Karlstad University.
