Iran Turning Hormuz Into a Toll Booth | Jim Hanson on Fox News

Description

Iran isn’t just disrupting the Strait of Hormuz, it’s testing whether it can control it long term.

Jim Hanson, Chief Strategist at the Middle East Forum, joins Fox News to explain how Tehran is positioning itself as a gatekeeper over global energy flows, and why that challenge can’t be left unanswered.

He breaks down the U.S. strategy, combining military pressure with negotiations, and what escalation could look like if that fails, including targeted ground operations and efforts to secure Iran’s nuclear assets.¹

Hanson also warns the conflict is expanding beyond Iran, with Russia, China, and Iranian-backed forces raising the stakes.¹
