Iran’s Regime Is Broken | Jim Hanson on Life, Liberty & Levin
Watch on YouTube
Description
Jim Hanson, Middle East Forum chief strategist, joined Mark Levin on Life, Liberty & Levin to assess the state of Iran’s regime and the risks facing U.S. policy.
Hanson argues that the Iranian regime has been badly weakened by economic pressure, blockade conditions, and its inability to fund proxies and internal enforcers. But he warns that immediate regime change without a credible successor could risk repeating the mistakes of Iraq, where the collapse of a government produced a dangerous insurgency.
Instead, Hanson lays out what he calls a better path: sustained pressure from the United States, China, Gulf states, and internal opposition forces until the regime is eventually overthrown from within.
