"If Iran Attacks Israel" with Behnam Ben Taleblu

The Islamic Republic of Iran threatens to respond directly against Israel in response to the execution of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. Except for the launching of hundreds of missiles and drones versus Israel on April 13, however, the mullahs have avoided attacking Israel directly. Will they again depart from this pattern? What steps might they take? What concerns might limit the response?

Behnam Ben Taleblu, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, focuses on Iranian security and political issues. He has testified before the U.S. Congress, Canada’s parliament, and provided evidence to the U.K. House of Commons. He holds a B.A. from George Washington University and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.
